Alexander Matušek

President of the Automotive Industry Association and Vice-President of the Federation of Employers’ Associations and Unions of the Slovak Republic. At Volkswagen Slovakia, he heads External Relations, Environment and Social Services. Previously, he was responsible for logistics management and held several senior management positions within the Volkswagen Group in Portugal and the United States.

As a business expert, he warns that the Slovak economy is facing serious challenges on several fronts. In his view, the future of the country’s industrial sector will depend largely on Slovakia’s ability to retain talent and attract new investment.
