Jolana Kusá

Jolana’s professional path has three main branches. She studied philosophy at Comenius University, where she later also taught until she was dismissed during the political purges that followed 1968.

Her second area of expertise is psychological counseling. She contributed to establishing Marriage Counseling Centres and Centres for Counseling and Psychological Services beginning in 1972, and she continues to work in this field to this day.

At the Institute of Philosophy of the Slovak Academy of Sciences, she worked on a project dedicated to preserving and documenting samizdat literature in Slovakia — a long-term endeavor that remains one of her key professional interests.
