Maroš Chmelík
Maroš is the Executive Director of the Center for Community Organizing, where he and his team develop community organizing as a tool for building resilient local communities. Under his leadership, CKO has expanded its activities to include education, communication, and advocacy in the field of radicalization prevention, as resilience only makes sense when built systematically.
In addition to leading the organization, he contributes to public policy as a member of the Commission Against Extremism (VRAX) and the EU Knowledge Hub for Radicalization Prevention. He connects local initiatives with national and European-level efforts and explores ways to support long-term civic engagement.
In the fall of 2025, he became part of the Obama Leaders Europe program, which brings together leaders strengthening democracy and community resilience.
