Martin Kováč
Old Catholic priest and human-rights activist | Old Catholics in Slovakia
Martin Kováč is an Old Catholic priest, theologian, human rights activist and project coordinator. He is particularly involved in the areas of religious freedom, interfaith and intercultural dialogue, minority rights, and pastoral care among LGBTQI+ people.
As a priest he leads two small inclusive parishes in Bratislava and Trnava.
For the past four years he worked on a project for the restoration of the Old Lyceum in Bratislava called LYCEUM – Free Society Lab, but since October 2023 he has gradually moved to the Volkswagen Slovakia Foundation.
